Niagara Falls in Niagara Falls, New York near Buffalo, New York and bordering Canada is another great place to visit. I went there part of a US east coast tour and had an awesome time on Maid of the Mist boat ride. The ride is under $20 and it takes you really close to the falls where you’ll get soaked even with the rain gear they provided.
